Policy
- It is unauthorized to connect to other servers from SolidShell using ssh
/ telnet / slogin.
- It is unauthorized to use SolidShell for nuking / flooding / icmp'ing /
pingflooding purpose or other reasons.
- We reserve ourselves the right to search, investigate and monitor all of
the acivities the users may conduct on the SolidShell Shellserver.
- Storing, compiling, or executing exploits or exploit-like code will result in account termination.
- All sorts of abuse that is not allowed by SolidShell will result in account termination.
- Users will be required to follow the simple limits applied to them from
their account, (eg: background limits, connection limits, bandiwdth limits, disk limits...
- Users will respect the integrity of SolidShell: no unneeded load abuse.
- Users who have a permission to access a bouncer will not load more clients
than they are allowed on and won't split account to the bouncer to others.
- SolidShell has the reserved right to disable accounts if you have unauthorized
stuff open to the public like mp3s, pornographic material,
warez stuff or anything not allowed by the law.
- A SolidShell shell account is not a place to stock stuff you will make other
users dispose of, like open ftp's etc... Accounts are monitored and when accessed
by more than a certain number of hosts, it will be searched.
- Abuse from a SolidShell user may be reported to abuse@solidshell.be
- SolidShell will not be held responsible for the contents of a website that
it provides place for, or the links it will contain.
- Yes, running a screen-IRC client or a normal IRC client is considered as
a background, except for a bnc connection which is not.
- SolidShell reserves itself the right to kill all backgrounds bigger than
9 Megabyte and loads which intend to disturb system performance
- The use of the server for running spam or flood bots is not permitted, every
complaint regarding this will result in a termination of the account(s).
- Using your shell for the downloading of illegal material will
result in a permanent deletion of your account.
- It is not allowed to join channels with war purposes. This will result in account termination.
- If a user is causing a Denial of Service attack of any kind, we reserve the right to terminate his/her account.
- We do *NOT* allow the use of 'energy mech' bots. You are NOT allowed to store
any files from this bot on your account. Storing them will be considered as
using them.
- We allow 2 connections from 1 background process outgoing. This means you
can connect to an IRC network and link up your bot to a botnet, or use it
to HUB other bots (those are incoming connections.) This rule is due to massive
abuse of BNC connections as well as eMech / Floodbots.
- Users must pay the fees bound to their accounts max. 7 days post dato.
- Although SolidShell is trying very hard to get stable connection to every
known network, we can not guarantee the connection, and can NOT be
held responsible for this.
- SolidShell reserves the right to change this policy at any time without informing
the users. Although we reserve this right, we will try to inform our users
about possible changes.
- There is a traffic quota of 1GB included with every non-IRCd shell account. An extra fee of euro 3 per GB will be billed if this limit is exceeded.
- It is not allowed to use IP addresses not bound to your account, or not listed in the public IP list ('vhosts'). Violation of this rule will result in account termination
- Solidshell never pays refunds for terminated accounts due to abuse.
- Any abuse to these rules can result in a penalty fee of 25€ and up.
IRCd
- Traffic quota of 10GB is included with every IRCd shell account. An extra fee of euro 3 per GB will be billed if this limit is exceeded.
- Your IRCd can not EVER use an IP address other than given to you, if we detect you do so, your account will be terminated
